Cultures Of Assam
Naam mean Ghar and prayer means house it's
Naamghar. Assameses a land of festivals and fairs. Here each festival and each is
enjoyed to the fullest no matter creed, caste and faith it is mostly based on
agriculture and Bihu is the festivals of Assam. It's called the national
festivals of Assam. It's observed around Assam. There are 3 Bihu Bohag bihu,
kati Bihu and Magh Bihu. Amongst these, Bohag Bihu has the appeal for it is the
colorful and thats. It is observed in each nook and corner of Assam. It's truly
a spring festival and is very similar to the spring festival of India and the
manner festival of England.
The festival's charm is the Bihu dance that is
graceful and distinctive. Kati Bihu is celebrerated throughout the Assamese
month of kati. It's also called kangali Bihu because there's deficiency of
crops throughout the period of the festival. Because it community feast, magh
Bihu is a harvest festival from Assam and is called Bhogali Bihu. The portion
of the Bihu are the bonfires called bites made of banana leaves that are dry
and Meji and bamboos called bhela ghar around that, people gather on the eve of
banquet and Bihu. The Vaishnavites of Assam celebrates that the birth and death
anniversaries of Srimanta Sankardeva and Madhabdeva with pomp and grandevor b
performing Naam, Bhaora, etc.
In the assumptions of Naam ghar. Additionally to
that the people of Assam also celebrate Me Dam-Me Phi, utilize Puja and some
common Indian Feasts like Durga Puja, Holi, Shivaratri, Diwali, Saraswati Puja,
Ganesh Puja, Vishvakarma Puja, Christmas, Id, Muharram etc. The most folk songs
and dances of Assam gets occupied a respectable space in that the cultural
field. As stated before Bihu is that the national festival of Assam that the
Bihu songs, dances even that the musical instruments has provided a special
trait to Assamese culture. Other than Bihu songs you will find would be being
sung in that the Assamese marriage ceremonies popularly referred to as Biya
Naam wedding songs which would be being sung in that the Assamese marriage
ceremonies popularly referred to as Biya Naam.
